I began my editing career as Assistant Editor of the Hong Kong Tatler aged 22. In the 1990s I published a number of African conservation reports and magazines pro bono. In the 2000s, with four small children firmly grounding me, I became Editor of School House magazine, the market leader in the independent schools magazine sector, launching new guides and special issues.

From 2012 to 2021 I was Editor of School House magazine. Working with leading photographers, including Royal photographer Hugo Burnand who shot the covers, and art directors, I conceived, commissioned and edited a bi-annual production of School House magazine with 90-odd pages of editorial in each issue. I launched a Scholarships & Bursaries supplement and produced a special edition on independent schools for Coutts Bank.

I was Editor of First Eleven for three years, during which time I launched, and was Editor of, their City and Country editions and then their Post School issues. I also launched their annual Schools Guide.

Pro-bono: In 2000 - 2001 I wrote the newsletter for Tusk. org a UK-based African conservation charity. In 2000 and 2005 I conceived, wrote and edited 20-page fundraising brochures for Lewa Wildlife Conservancy who were creating a permanent fund as a hedge against income variabilities.
